Services for Christina M. Petersen, 90, who died in her sleep at home Thursday were held Monday, October 19.
The Rev. Harold Petersen, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church here officiated at the Berthusen Knutson Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery.
A native of Germany, Mrs. Petersen arrived in the U.S. in 1904. She lived in Avoca for 66 years, and was the widow of Hartwig Petersen, also deceased.
Survivors include five sons: John, Chris, and Harry all of Avoca, Max of Billings, Mont., and Walter of Butte, Mont.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Schnepel of Minden; 22 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
