TWO KILLED IN VALLEY ACCIDENTS

In the Pratt accident, Kenneth Wayne Beckett of Hansford died in St. Mary's Hospital at Huntington, where he was transferred from Charleston Memorial Hospital after treatment for a fractured skull and multiple lacerations.

The driver of the other car was identified as Harold Frazier, 43, of Montgomery, who was admitted to Laird Memorial Hospital with lacerations and a fractured hip. His condition was reported as satisfactory.

Young Beckett was a June graduate of East Bank High School and was a clerk in Elkins Supermarket at Hansford. Also in the car with Beckett was a fellow classmate, Veda Hughes. Miss Hughes was reported to have serious but not life threating injuries.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos (Tom) Fernatt of Hansford; brother Virgil Beckett of Bossier City, La.; two half-brothers, Paul and Randy Fernatt at home; sister, Mrs. Jacqueline Hatcher of Elkview.

Service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Old Kanawha Baptist Church at Pratt.

Burial will be in John Beane Cemetery near Sissonville.
