Norman Hugo Engelbrecht, age 75, of 421 South 31st Street, Manitowoc, died Monday, April 27, 1992, at Veterans Medical Center, Tomah, Wis.
Memorial services will be Monday, May 4, 1992, at 2:00 p.m, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert Meyer will officiate. Cremation will have taken place. Burial of the cremains will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
He was born October 27, 1916 in Manitowoc, son of the late Hugo and Alma (Qualman) Engelbrecht. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He married Roselind Jonas on June 23, 1946 at the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Mr. Engelbrecht was employed as a shipping clerk at Engelwood Electrical Supply, Manitowoc, until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of the American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 and St. John's United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Roselind of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Engelbrecht of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren, Andrew, Kristin, Angela, Kerri and her husband, Leon Goldsmith, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; one great granddaughter, Amber; a sister, Grace Gadzinski of Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law, Delores Engelbrecht of Manitowoc, Marge Engelbrecht of Manitowoc and Shirley Engelbrecht of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Milton, Elmer, Edwin and Ray Engelbrecht.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. The family would appreciate memorials to the Organ Fund at St. John's United Church of Christ or to Alzheimers Research.
