Clayton E. Lacrosse, age 86, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Sunday, May 26, 2002 at Shady lane. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Foley at Holy Innocents Catholic Church,, Manitowoc, May 29, 2002 at 11 am. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Gardens with military graveside services accorded by Drews-Bleser Legion Post #88. Clayton was born May 16, 1916 in Green Bay, to the late Fred and Mary Van Nelson Lacrosse. He married Mrytle Kelly, May 24, 1950 in Green Bay. She preceded him in death in 1965. He then married Helen Kernin Olson August 14, 1971 in Manitowoc. During World War II he served with the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre of War. He was a longtime employee of Kelvinator, retiring in 1971. Survivors include his wife, Helen, eight children, Donald Lacrosse, Roy (Sandra) Olson, Mary Ann Meier and her fiancée, Randy Ditewig, all of Manitowoc, Nancy (Mac) McCauley of Eau Claire, Barbara (Luis) Arenzone of Chicago, Patricia Ulsberger of Eagle River, Raymond (Sandy) Johnson of West Bend, Sherrie Sipiorski of Ludington, Mich., a sister, Lil (Ver) Devillers of Green Bay, also 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Myrtle and two brothers. Friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Wednesday, 10 am.
