Lawrence O. Bolen, 79, of 1896 N. 8th, Manitowoc, died Friday, May 13, 1988 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services were held 2 pm this Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Peter Ansorge officiated and burial followed in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Bolen was born December 18, 1908 at German Valley, Illinois, son of the late Oscar and Anna Stover Bolen. He was owner and operated of Bolens Riding Academy of Manitowoc since 1936.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Merlyn and Leta Bolen of Spencer, Wisconsin; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mrs. Carl (Florence) Taves of Wausau, Naomi and Floyd Wernberg of Marshfield and Bernice and Cliff Hoftiezer of Merrill, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with arrangements.
