Dorothy Ann Meissner, age 76, a Brillion resident, died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Holy Family Parish, 1100 West Ryan Road, Brillion. The Rev. Tom Long will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Dorothy Ann was born March 31, 1928 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Earl P. and Violette Schwartz Schneider.

She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1946.

She married Wallace Glaeser in 1949 and he preceded her in death in Sept., 1961.

On Dec. 28, 1963 she married Robert W. Meissner at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. They celebrated 40 years together.

Dorothy Ann enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan and followed the Brewers and Packers. Traveling was her forte and her home away from home was Jamaica where they visited numerous times. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the American Legion Gosz-Novak Post #199 Reedsville Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband: Robert Meissner, Brillion; children: Sue (Bill, III) Ebert, Reedsville; Neal (Cindy) Meissner, Plano, Texas; Dick (Mary) Meissner, Reedsville; Susan (Gary Head) Meissner, Richmond, Va.; Beth (Brian) Kuchenbecker, Brillion; thirteen grandchildren: Jennifer (Mike) Durst, Jill (Glen) Braun, Bill Ebert, IV and special friend Tara Krueger, Colin, Lauren and Derek Meissner, Alexis (Daniel) Wagner, Kim Goertz, Luis, Ricardo and Michael Betanzo and Kyle and Ryan Kuchenbecker; five great-grandchildren: Alissa, Emma Rose and Katie Wagner, Cole Goertz and Mason Durst; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Rosemary Schneider, Whitelaw; Marge (Bill) Cape, Manitowoc; Elaine Lorrigan, Reedsville; Jean (John) Laughrin, Chilton; Pat (Don) Weber, Kellnersville; Lois (Jack) Licht, Muskego; Mary (Sonny) Kohlbeck, Whitelaw and Betty Glaeser, Minnesota, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and first husband Wallace Glaeser, Dorothy Ann was preceded in death by her brother: Deacon Donald Schneider; brother-in-law: Richard Glaeser; sister-in-law: Dorothy (Glen) Wawirka and an infant daughter: Mary Lynn.

Relatives and Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Holy Family Parish, Brillion where a prayer service will close the visitation at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The visitation will continue on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to the time of Liturgy at noon.

Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, Wisconsin with her 1st husband Wallace Glaeser & infant daughter.

In addition to other expression of sympathy, memorials to Holy Family Parish would be appreciated.

The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Manitowoc is serving the Meissner Family.
