Mrs. Christiancy was born in Detroit, in the summer of 1821, and was a member of the Godfroy family, so long residents of this place. Her body was brought here for burial, and the funeral took place yesterday morning at St. Mary's Church. (Monroe Commercial, Dec. 17, 1874, pg 1)

Elizabeth McCloskey married Isaac on November 16, 1839 in Monroe County, Michigan by Fr. Carabin. She was nineteen years old and Isaac was 26 years old.

Elizabeth was laid to rest by her Godfroy family at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe, Mi.
