Ann was born on Dec. 5, 1924, in New London, Wis., a daughter of the late Hadrian and Ann Laura (Jones)Freiburger. She attended schools in New London, graduating from New London High School, and was also a graduate of Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minn. Ann served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II in station hospitals located in California and Virginia.
She married Gerhardt G. (Shep) Griep on Oct. 11, 1965, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1987. Ann was employed at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital and the A.P. Zlatnik Medical Clinic for many years as a laboratory and X-ray technician. She was a longtime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Evening Society.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. David Arndt will officiate at the service, with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Friends may call at the church on Monday after 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran School.
