Oscar John Morgan, member of the Town Council of Boonsboro and a former mayor and tax collector, died at 3:30 this morning at the Washington County Hospital of paralysis after a lingering illness, aged 62.
Son f Mrs Florence Furry Morgan, 809 Florida Ave., and the late John Morgan, he had been a merchant in Boonsboro until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church of Boonsboro and belonged to the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Surviving besides his mother, Leon K of Benevola and two grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Bast Funeral Home where services will be held on Saturday at 2 pm. with interment in Boonsboro Cemetery. Members of the Boonsboro Town Council will serve as pallbearers.
