Edward was the biological son of Anna (Heinzen) Renner and Philip Renner. He was given up for adoption as well as his brothers and sister. He and brother William were adopted by the Yenke family from Miamisburg or Germantown, while my grandmother was adopted by the Jonas family.

Eddie did not have children, and had been married once or twice. Hazel was his first wife. He married a second time later in life to a woman who already had children, but the marriage did not last. It is unknown what became of Hazel. Her maiden name is unknown as well.

Eddie loved to drink. He died as a result of being hit by a car while crossing the street on his two canes trying to go to the bar.
