Born in Rock Island, IL., to Vincent and Veronica McLain Valiquette, she entered the Visitation Monastery in 1950; her first profession in 1952 and her final vows in 1955. She attended Marycrest-Ambrose College.
In 1992, she and four other sisters were incorporated into the Visitation Monastery in St. Louis. Imparting the love and philosophy of St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal in her daily life, her primary focus was prayer and the ministry of education. Therein, she served in the monastery kitchen, dining room, linen and woolen wardrobes, and as playground supervisor. Sister Baptista enjoyed sewing, knitting, puzzles, playing bridge and keeping up with the St. Louis Cardinals. In 2013, she moved to Catherine's Residence.
Dear sister of David (Debbie) Valiquette of Boerne, TX. She was predeceased by siblings: Fr. Vincent "Jack" Valiquette, Fr. Thomas M "Tom" Valiquette, Sr. Marjorie Valiquette, OSF, and Diane Valiquette.
Funeral Mass: Visitation Academy chapel in Town and Country in west St. Louis County.
Burial: Visitation Sisters' plot at Calvary Cemetery.
