Charles W. was the fourth child of Washington and Carrie Williamson. He enlisted in Indianapolis the 17th of August, 1898 into the 7th Cavalry, Company F. He served in the Spanish American war and discharged the 26th of March, 1899. Charles never married, but returned home after the war and worked as a painter. He died of chronic parenchymatous nephritis at the Veteran's Hospital in Dayton after suffering from illness there for one month.
