Census records say that she was and both of her parents were born in Ohio. He husband died prior to 1877 (date unknown) since she is listed in Bureau Co. Voters & Taxpayers alone as a postmistress & Methodist. They were the parents of two daughters: Anna Elizabeth Garton, and Laura Delight Garton.
Mary E Morrison was the daughter of Joseph Morrison and his wife, Ann Jane Thompson who were both born in Belmont County, Ohio.
