Alice (Schirk) Akerboom, 82, Green Bay, passed away Saturday April 28, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 1st, 1929, in Green Bay. She received her degree in Culinary Arts at the age of 68. Alice was world traveled and enjoyed volunteering for EAA and Sun N' Fun in Lakeland, FL. where she lived for the last 10 years. She was very proud of the accomplishments of her children.
Alice is survived by her husband Hendrik "Hank"; four children and their spouses, Michelle "Mitzi" (Dr. Ken) Hujet, Peter (Marie) Akerboom, Jeanne (Jim) Rhea, and Cheryl (Tony) VanDenMeerendonk; one daughter-in-law, Terri Akerboom; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Akerboom; her parents; four brothers and three sisters.
