If you may remember, Barbara Forman Palen was my great grandmother. She was born in Baschleiden, Lux., on 2 January 1838; emigrated at age 18 in 1857, and married Nickolas Gregoire Palen in Dubuque, Iowa on 23 Feb 1858. Between 1858 and 1886, they had fourteen children! She died on 6 March 1910 and is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.
Her father was Jean Pierre Forman (1802 - ?) from Baschleiden and her mother was Anna Marie Huberty (1796-1857). They were married in Boulaide.
