Robert Allen "Banker Bob" Johnston, 67, of Marinette, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at Bay Area Medical Center of Marinette, WI, after a short battle with cancer. He was born July 31, 1945, in Menominee, MI, to Allen and Dorothy (Caylor) Johnston.

Bob spent his earliest years in McAllister, WI, before moving with his family to Marinette, proudly residing in Menekaunee.
He was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1963. Bob was employed for 28 years by Waupaca Foundry prior to his retirement in 2008.

He married the former Cindy Rupert on August 17, 2001.

After retirement, Bob and Cindy bought a cabin on rural property where he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed bonfires, family game nights and, as an animal lover, spending time watching the wildlife. Bob took pride in spending time with his granddaughters.
He was also an avid reader, a dedicated Green Bay Packer fan and coin collector. On television, he enjoyed watching wrestling, game shows and the old-time TV programs. Bob was a kind, caring, compassionate, and thoughtful man.
Although he was quiet, he touched the hearts of many and will be forever missed.
