Additional from Lynn Gauthier; Just found a 2nd marriage for him on Ancestry.com (MA vital records. He married on 14 Jun 1887 in Worcester MA to Louisa J. Workman (age 46 d/o William & Sarah Workman) It was her 1st marriage. His occupation clergyman. I have not found a death record for her (she appears in the 1910 census in Newton MA).

D. was prepared for college in Hinesburgh Academy; graduated from the University of Vermont in 1852, was principal of Underhill Academy, 1852-55; graduated from Andover Theological Seminary, 1857; preached at Royalton, VT, one year; was ordained at Windsor, VT Feb 23, 1859 - dismissed, Oct. 1, 1869; preached in Montreal, 1869-70; called to Brunswick, ME, Jan 10, 1871; resigned, Oct. 1, 1878; installed at Monson, MA, June 23, 1880 - dismissed, May 1, 1887; spent several months in foreign travel; was librarian of the N. E. Historic Genealogical society in Boston, 1891; published the Puritan in England and New England in 1896 and the Christ of Yesterday, Today and Forever in 1897. He received the degree of D. D. from the University of Vermont in 1890.
