Minton S. Davenport, 89, formerly of Walbridge, Wood County, Ohio, died Thursday, February 09, 2006, at the Darlington House, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. He was born in Millbury, Wood County, Ohio, on April 30, 1916, to Francis (Percelia Cardosy) Davenport. Minton served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was employed as a tool & die setter with Mather's Spring Company in Toledo for 38 years, retiring in 1972. He married Zetta Z. Lusher on November 21, 1936, in Walbridge, and she survives. He was preceded in death by their son, Glen. Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge (419-666-3121) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, with funeral services being held Monday, February 13, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lake Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Main Street Church, 705 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio 43465.
