Fred Ditto was the first of seven children born to Mike Ditto and Miriam Amanda Thrash. According to the 1910 US Federal Census, the family lived in Arlington Ward 1, Tarrant county, Texas, USA. Children in the family were: Fred Ditto (10), Chester Ditto (8), Clayton Ditto (6), and Howard Ditto (4).
