Mrs. Irby H. Adams

Funeral services for Mrs. Irby H. Adams, 85, of 214 Buford Place, who died at her residence Sunday, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Morris Warren will officiate. Entombment will be in Riverside Mausoleum.

A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Mrs. Adams was the former Miss Margaret Barnsfather. She attended school in Scotland and England and was a graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She came to Macon in 1905 to teach music at Wesleyan College. After her marriage to the late Dr. Irby H. Adams, she taught music in her home.

She was a member of Vineville Presbyterian Church and taught an adult Sunday School class at the church. She was a charter member of the Morning Music Club.

Survivors include two sons, John I. Adams of Carlisle, Pa., and Robert B. Adams of Lake Jackson, Tex.; one brother-in-law, Fort Adams of Atlanta.
