Pauline K. Bordas, 74, of Ennis passed away Nov. 23, 2003, at Barrett Hospital in Dillon. She was born on Jan. 1, 1929, in Lebanon, Pa., to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kuntz.

She was married to Eugene Bordas Jr. in 1952 at Good Fellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas.
Pauline attended Harrisburg School of Nursing, and after completing her schooling entered the United States Air Force in 1951. Her career spanned 21 years, in which she was stationed at many bases. She met Eugene at Sampson Air Force Base, and they were married Oct. 4, 1952. They were transferred to Burtonwood RAF Station, Travis AFB, Ankara, Turkey USAF Hospital, Orlando AFB, and Richards Gebaur AFB. During her service with the military she reached the rank of Lieutenant Coronal.

After retiring from the military she moved to Arizona and then to Ennis in 1989. A mutual passion that she shared with her husband led her to work the U.S. National Matches Rifle for a number of years and the U.S. International Shooting Championships. She also worked the 1984 and 1996 Olympics as a judge as well as several World Cups and World Championships in shooting.

Pauline and her friend, Grace, taught wearable art classes with their big classes in "Quilting in the Tetons" at Jackson Hole, Wyo.

She was a very busy lady always on the go, and she filled in the cracks with fishing and hunting expeditions..

She will be greatly missed by those who love her.
