Jim "Ace" Stinson, 71, was born July 4, 1928 in Heavener, OK and passed from this life on December 27, 1999 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.
He married Margaret Mimms on April 24, 1949 in Houston, AR. To this union two sons were born, Don and Jimmy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Echlas and Nettie (House) Stinson; his brothers, Clinton and E.D. Stinson; and Margaret Stinson, who passed away on December 28, 1982.
His interests included his church activities, his work at Ace TV, bass and crappie fishing and blue grass festivals. He also enjoyed deer hunting. He was actively researching his family tree back to the Civil War era.
Early in his career he worked for the Katy Railroad and moved to Muskogee in 1957. He established Ace TV and Appliance in 1960.Jim also coached Little League Baseball for many years.
Jim was very proud of his children and grandchildren. On February 22, 1986, Jim married Eileen Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two sons, Don and wife Judy and Jimmy and wife, Rhonda all of Muskogee; his stepchildren, Jess Wilson, Gail and husband, Michael Holybee all of Muskogee, and James Wilson and wife Susan of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Gerald and Jennifer Stinson, Jordan and Jacob Stinson, Jay Cragg and wife Jennifer and their son Cody of Tulsa, Jeremy Cragg and wife Trisha of Muskogee and R.J. and Melissa Wilson of Lakewood, CO; sisters, Peggy Adair and husband Wayne, and Mary Powers and husband Herschal all of Owasso, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services were held December 30, 1999 at the Eastside Church of Christ with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Bradley Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
