LINCOLN - Rodney Lee Greathouse, 51, of Broadwell, IL passed away July 10, 2014 at home surrounded by his friends and family.
A time of visitation will be from 10 AM until 11Am on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 11 AM with Ron Otto officiating.
Rodney was born May 16, 1963 in Lincoln, IL, the son of Robert Greathouse and Joan (Sanders) Greathouse.
He graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1981. He worked for Alexander Lumber Company for 28 years. He enjoyed hunting, sports--the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears , the Cincinnati Reds and NASCAR, fishing and spending time with his son.
Surviving are his grandmother, Evelyn Brown; son, Ryan J. Greathouse; Ryan’s mother, Janet Huser; step children Anthony and Kayla Lowe Filson; brothers, Randy (Peggy) Greathouse and Robert (Marilyn) Greathouse; sisters, Judie Herda and Janice (Dwayne) McNutt; brother-in-law, Dennis Moore and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rebecca Moore.
Memorial donations may be made to Ryan Greathouse in care of his mother, Janet Huser and will be accepted at the funeral home.
