On October 23, 1903 he left Napoli, Italy on the ship the Sicilian Prince. He arrived at Ellis Island, New York on November 9, 1903. He traveled with his father, mother, brother Gaetano, sisters Rosa and Cecilia and was going to join his brother Errico Geremia 489 Grand Street, New Haven, Connecticut.
His father died in 1911 and by about 1912, he had married Grazella Maria (Grace Mary) Matteo.
They had the following children:

Alex started out as an agent for G&O Radiators out of New Haven, Connecticut. By 1919, Durable Radiator was incorporated in the State of Connecticut and located on West Main Street in Waterbury.
Alex was an inventor and was granted a US Patent on the automatic windshield wiper on January 4, 1930.
In 1920, they lived at 107 Clay Street, New Haven with the Matteo family. They lived at 51 Southmayd Road, Waterbury from 1924 to about 1953. By 1954, they had moved to 1880 Old Waterbury Road, Cheshire.
Alex passed away January 4, 1974 and was buried in the family plot at All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury, Connecticut.

AGE 83 YEARS
Alexander was the founder of the Durable Auto Radiator and Auto Body Company in 1919. He was a communicant of The Church of the Epiphany and a member of the Waterbury Auto Body Association.
A private funeral service was held Monday, January 7th, from O'Donnell Funeral Home, Waterbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in The Church of the Epiphany.
