Carl C. Baumann Jr.,78, died Tuesday at his home at 353 Kirby Quinn Road.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with the Rev. Z. Vance Harrell officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will have visitation at the funeral home on Friday night from 6 until 8 pm., and at other times, they will be at the residence.
Mr. Baumann, born in Baltimore, Maryland, was the son of the late Victoria Parks Baumann and Carl Baumann, Sr. He served from 1951 until 1954 with the US Army, and in 1986, he retired from the Ann Arundel County Police Department in Maryland. He was a member of Chapter B Goldwing Riders Assoc.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Harrell Baumann of the home; his children, Sherry and Bobby Hunt of Fremont, and Mellissa and Harvey Williams of Pikesville; a brother, Charles Baumann of Maryland; his step-children, Jeff Wellington and Jamie Wellington, both of Kenansville; eight grandchildren, Angela, Holly, Elizabeth, Mia, Skyler, Sterling, Tyler, and Makenzie; and two great-grandchildren, Summer and Kylie.
