Donna Alward, 51, died Monday, July 21, 2014.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Living Way Fellowship, 2500 S. Eastern St., with Pastor Rich Stone officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Donna was born March 3, 1963, in Amarillo to Jerry Don and Sue Rivers. She was instrumental in leading many people to the Lord but particularly enjoyed working with young women and children. She served as director of Christian Women's Job Corps and as a bus driver for children's ministry through Living Way Fellowship. She was a loving friend, daughter, sister, mother, aunt and NawNaw. Her priorities were in alignment also: God, family and softball.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Don Rivers.

Survivors include her husband, Teddy Alward; five children, December Barcroft and husband Tim, Dusty Alward, Keri Alward and husband Carlos and Krystal Dennis, all of Amarillo and Brandon Alward and wife Debra of Shallowater; 10 grandchildren, Genie, Heavenly, Kelsey, Aaron, Jason, Casey Jr., Kodi, Seth, Evan and Elijah; her mother, Carolyn "Sue" Hood of Amarillo; four siblings, Barbara Moore and husband Rodger, Tonja Rivers and Robby Hood and wife Kristina, all of Amarillo, and Bobby Hood and wife Rebecca of Las Vegas; as well as numerous other family and friends.
