Placerville resident for 36 years and service station operator, Adolph passed away at his residence on Main Street Wednesday after being bedridden since Sunday. He celebrated his 76th birthday on Monday.

A blacksmith by trade, he opened up a shop and with the advent of the automobile he opened up a service station on the same lot where the blacksmith shop had once stood to keep up with the times.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War.

Survived by his wife, Mabel Adler, two daughter, Mrs. Marian Cooper of Placerville and Mrs. Winifred Macias of San Francisco; one son, Adolph Adler Jr., recently joined the Army.
