Glen E. Stegemann

Glen E. Stegemann, 71, of 1080 S. 39th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, Aug. 20, 2005, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Glen was born Jan. 21, 1934 in Two Rivers, a son of the late Edgar and Della (Schmidt) Stegemann. He attended St. John's Parochial School, and Two Rivers Washington High School, where he graduated with the class of 1951.

On Feb. 14, 1953, he married Joyce Fritsch at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Glen was owner/operator of Sentry Food Stores in Two Rivers and Manitowoc for many years until his retirement. He was a longtime, active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers; and a past member of the Two Rivers Kiwanis Club, of which he served as past president, and past lieutenant governor. Glen also loved to play golf, and enjoyed bowling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant daughters; his father-in-law: Rueben Fritsch; a sister-in-law: Cindy Stegemann; and a brother-in-law: Lowell Clarksen.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Immanuel Evanglical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, after 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at 1 p.m. There will be no visitation this evening.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 916 Pine St., Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Loren Lindeman and the Rev. Edward Stelter, with burial of his cremated remains to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Manitowoc Lutheran High School, or Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
