Raymond Joseph Dente, 61, of Old Forge, died Monday in Moses Taylor Hospital following an illness. Born and raised in Old Forge, son of the late Raymond and Rose Gallia Dente, he was a 1968 graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy. He was also educated at Susquehanna University and was a graduate of the Franklin School of Science & the Arts, Philadelphia with a degree in medical technology. Raymond worked as a medical technician at several hospitals and was a restauranteur in his earlier years. He was also the proprietor of a hearing aid company known as Acoustical Enhancements. He resided in the Durham, NC area for nearly 5 years and Miami, FL for 10 years, after which he returned to Old Forge. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 AM in the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge with a Blessing Service. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Friends may call Thursday from 5 – 8 PM, during which time Catholic Wake Services will be held.
