JOHN FOGELTANZ

John Fogeltanz Sr., 90, former Kellnersville resident, died Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 1990, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrarted by Rev. William J. Eberhardy with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

He was born September 25, 1899, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late John and Anna Hill Fogeltanz. He attended the former Highland School in the Town of Franklin. He married the former Lillian Kohlbeck in June of 1926. She preceded him in death in 1928. He later married Monica Fischer on November 5, 1935 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The couple lived in the Town of Franklin, moving to Kellnersville at his retirement. He worked at Manitowoc Shipyards and Northern Produce for 17 years at Hamilton Industries, retiring in 1967. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville and Hamilton Industries Good fellowship.

Survivors include his wife Monica of Kellnersville; three sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy and Joyce Fogeltanz of the Town of Franklin, Donald and Sandra Fogeltanz of Kellnersville, John and Joyce Fogeltanz of Kellnersville; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Richard Rysticken of Manitowoc; a brother and four sisters-in-law, Leonard and Margaret Fogeltanz of Manitowoc, Mildred Halbach of Appleton, Anna Fogeltanz of Kellnersville, Evelyn Fogeltanz of Manitowoc; two sisters, Alvina Shimek of Kellnersville and Helen Wachal of Manitowoc; a brother-in-law, John Krizenesky of Brillioin; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in dedath by his first wife; an infant son; five brothers, Henry, Baldwin, William, Edward, Raymond and three sisters, Susan Remiker, Anna Zahorik and Eleanor Krizenesky.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday until the time of service. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening led by Msgr. Alfred A. Schneider.
