Loranza D. Rowe, 67, died at St. John's Hospital at 8:30 pm Saturday after an illness of two years. He had been in the hospital for three days.
Mrs. Rowe was born in Somerset, Ky., Oct. 8, 1902, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rowe. He came to Anderson from Dugger, Ind., 32 years ago and was employed as a utility man at the Delco Remy Division for 28 years before his retirement in 1956. Mr. Rowe was a member of First United Methodist Church and UAW Local 662, and had played in the Delco Remy baseball league for 22 years.
Surviving are his father; a son, Ralph; a brother, James; and two sisters, Velma Miller and Ella Dukes.
