A.J. "Shorty" Gray, 75, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001.
Services were at 3 p.m. Friday in Central Church of the Nazarene with Bob Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mr. Gray married Maudene White on Dec. 16, 1946, in Giddings. He was a longtime resident of Amarillo. He retired from Steer Tank Lines with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Arnold Gray.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronnie Gray of Amarillo; two daughters, Linda Gaskill and Susan Cooper, both of Amarillo; a brother, Wayne Gray of Levelland; a sister, Betty Lindsey of Conroe; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101.
