ELMER FRANKLIN BURNS, 69, of Hamlin, died Sunday, March 10, 1968, in a Huntington hospital. Funeral services conducted on Tuesday, March 12, 1968 at the Koontz Funeral Home in Hamlin by the Rev. Ebb Cummings and the Rev. E. E. Hall. Burial was in Long Rest Cenetery in Hamlin.

A retired farmer and deacon of The Carroll Memorial Community Church, Elmer was born October 21, 1899 at Hager. He was the son of the late William & Vitra Adkins Burns. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs Mabel Cotton; a brother, Marshall "Marson" Burns of Hamlin; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Shanholtz and Mrs. Lucy Plumley of the Hamlin area.
