She was the daughter of James Asberry Wellborn and Elizabeth Isabelle Denney. She married 1st William Albert Owen on September 24, 1922 in Cleburne County and they had one son Percy. She married 2nd John Parson Henson on June 15, 1940 again in Cleburne County. They had two boys, Johnny and Jimmy.

Services were held April 26, 1999 at Concord Baptist Church, with burial in the adjacent cemetery. She died April 25th at the Cleburne County Nursing Home.

Her obituary is in The Anniston Star, April 26, 1999.
