Sarah was married September 21, 1915 to Christian (Knudtson) Severson at Stanton. Christian died January 2, 1917 at Beresford, SD at his son Andrew's home.

Sarah's obituary is in the: Stanton Weekly Picket, February 13, 1919, Page 4, Column 2.
