"Dick" was a native of Rocky Mount and the son of the late Betty Williams Bottoms and Elisha "Bud" Thomas Bottoms Sr. He was a charter member of the Sweethaven Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Va.
Dick is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Lib" Jenkins Bottoms; daughter, Pamela "Lynne" Kellam of Norfolk; son, Stanley Thomas Bottoms of Edenton, NC; sister, Mae Landen of Greer, SC; two granddaughters, Denise Renee Kellam and Stephanie Lynne Kellam, both of Norfolk, Va. He was 75.
