Mrs. Clark Rites Held
Mrs. Johnnie Morgan Clark, 86, of Rt. 1, Pittsboro, died in Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Aberdeen at 11 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 1975. Widow of Arliss Clark who die Dec 16, 1962, she was born in Calhoun County, Feb. 18, 1889, the daughter of J. S. Morgan and Martha Jane Swindoll Morgan. She was a member of Popular Springs Baptist Church.
Services were held in Popular Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 Saturday with Rev. Billy McDaniel and Rev. Elvis Vance officiating. Burial was in Popular Springs cemetery with Pryor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, James Clark, A. C. Clark, Gregg Justice, Earl McGreger, Jimmy McGreger and Keith Justice.
Mrs. Clark leaves five daughters, Mrs. Jewel Gillespie, Mt. Vernon, Ill., Mrs. Lavelle Clark, Batesville, Mrs. Louise Burden and Mrs Geraldine McGreger, both of Vardaman, and Mrs. Henrietta Justice of Brazil, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Howell of Houlka; 22 grandchildren, 38 great grand children and several great, great grandchildren.
