Peter Oscar Kaasen was born in Wisconsin to Norwegian immigrants. His father, Simen Alveson Kaasen was widowed twice. Simen's first wife, Kari, was born in Alvdal, Norway, very close to where Simen was born. They emigrated within months of one another. She was my g.g.grandmother Ingeborg's first cousin and the two were raised not far from Simen. Ingeborg immigrated 2 years earlier than Kari.
Peter's father moved to Washington, and in the 1920 Census, Peter is living with Simen, 61 a widower and 6 siblings.
Peter married Lana May (Londick) Harrison February 2, 1929.
Peter and Lana May both died November 11, 1975. Via an email 2.2017 from a mutual relative, Peter and his daughter were going to the hospital the night Lana was about to die, and he had a heart attack while driving to the hospital, and died about the same time, same day as his wife, Lana.
Lana had a daughter from a previous marriage and was a widow, when Peter met her.
