After returning from the War, he & his Family bought land in Trigg County, KY; in 1865 on the Cumberland River where game & fish were more plentiful. James died 29 April 1910 & his wife, Henrietta died, 26 Aug. 1914. They are both buried in the Hunter Family Cemetery on the land they bought in Trigg County, Kentucky.
