John Wesley Banbury came to Pasadena prior to 1880, joining his uncle - Col. Jabez Banbury, and other family members in the new community. He may have opened the first meat market in the Indiana Colony, was in charge of Pasadena's exbibit at the 1891 orange carnival at Chicago, Ill.
and in 1897 went to Alaska during the gold rush. He married
Josephine Angelo Brown on 25 Oct 1887.
