She lived in Moreauville, LA., 87 years before moving to Baton Rouge.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Dufour Jeansonne of Baton Rouge, three granddaughters, Terri Cassano of Lakeland, Florida, Jill Benbow of Baton Rouge, Simone Breeze of Tampa, Florida and six great grandchildren. Also her two sisters, Nita Desselle Normand of Bordelonville, LA and Lou Sarrazin of Central, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O.J. (Pete) Dufour, second husband Collins Dupuy and her precious eleven month old son, Orr Jerome, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her parents Clifton and Corrine Coco Bordelon, Her six brothers, Sidmore, Julius, Clifton, James, Charles, and Hugh.
She retired as manager of Bon Marche Dept. Store in Marksville, LA. She was an original member of the dance group "Country Kickers" until the age of 83. This was her greatest joy as they entertained throughout the parish and state. Our deep appreciation goes to the wonderful staff at Old Jefferson CCC and her special angels that cared for her each day.
Funeral service for Marjorie Dupuy will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 beginning at 1:00pm. Visitation will also be held that day from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Escudé Funeral Home of Moreauville. Burial will commence at the Sacred Heart Catholic Mausoleum. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escudé Funeral Home.
