Funeral for Marie Lawrence Lorance, 79, of Decatur will be today, July 30, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ralph Henderson and Reverend Fred Childs officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Lorance died on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born October 28, 1934, in Morgan County to William Hobert Lawrence and Leatha Lee Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Lorance; one brother, William Earl Lawrence and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Free of Decatur, Kay Snoddy of Falkville and Sue Lacy (Johnny) of Falkville; one sister, Dora Jean Clark of Valhermoso Springs; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Staggs, Josh Lacy, Jonathan Lacy, Joseph Lacy, Johnny Lawrence, Joe Curbow, Nathan Lawrence and Thomas Holladay.
