Mrs William L. Davy Obit: Oakland, Maryland

Mrs. Sylvia Ann Davy, 78, of 500 Oakland Drive died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Beegley. A native of Horse Shoe Run, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Theodore P. and Ida Elizabeth (Roth) Winters, and was the widow of William Lee Davy. Surviving are three sons, Garrett T., and Walter L Davy, here, Alfred C. Davy, Waco Texas; two other daughter Mrs. Hazel I Reese, Pittsburgh,and Mrs. Bertie Barkley, Parson; two brothers, Herman R. Winters, Winchester, VA and Ernest C. Winters, Saratoga, Wy; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Jones, Akron, Oho and Mrs. Hattie Rotruck Albuquerque NM; 26 grandcildren; four step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The body is at the John O. Durst Funeral Home, where friends will, be received from 7 until 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 4 and 7 util 9 p.m tomorrow A servic will be conducted at the Bayard United Methodist church Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev Robert C. Cole and Rev. Paul D Crumley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bayard Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
