Ward W. Konkle was the first editor for the government published, Agricultural Science Review, a publication by the Cooperative State Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington D. C. He retired in 1972 and he and his wife became experts within the antique business, writing many articles for magazines and newspapers. The couple lived for a time in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio where they volunteered at the Wayne County Historical Society of Ohio and studied their collections. At the Society they wrote the first in-depth history on the Wooster Coxon-Belleek china company and many other essays that are still valued to this day for the local history they continue to provide to the next generations.
