Mrs. Sadie Martha Rose of New Canton, Illinois, died at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born in New Canton and was a former owner of a grain elevator company there. She was the widow of F. L. Rose. Mrs. Rose was an honorary 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in New Canton and a member of the Methodist Church in New Canton.
She leaves two sons, John Rose and Kenneth Rose, two sisters Mrs. Ellis Kendrick and Mrs. H. M. Bartell, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in New Canton with burial in Shearer Cemetery, New Canton.
