These articles appeared in the Schenectady Gazette for Terri's death. George was a sportswriter for the paper at the time. This appeared in his weekly column.

Editors note: Sportswriter George Cuttita's wife, Terri, died Saturday, the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Sept. 26, leaving daughter Kimberlie behind.

In Loving Memory....

Terri, I can never thank you for what you have done for me. I am me for two reasons, because of the love and care my parents gave to me and because of you. In the ten years we were together, we shared good times and hard times. We grew together,, learned together and taught each other about life. You are a part of me and although you are physically gone from me, I know you are with me, perhaps more now than ever before.
I feel cheated, not so much for myself, but for our daughter Kimberlie. In my sorrow I have been told that it is better to have known, loved and shared with you for 10 years than never to have met you. But Kimberlie is being cheated of your physical love. something more precious than I, or anyone else, could ever give her. She will, however, know her mother. That is my solemn promise to you.
I will never forget the moments we shared during our life, especially how angelic you looked when I watched you sleep, how we kidded together and how you looked the morning I kissed you last. Those pictures are burned in my mind forever.
My first question was, why you? I know I'll never have the real reason, but knowing that your kidneys saved the lives of two young children and the fact you were taken during a time in our life when we felt the closest to each other is some consolation to me.
I feel lonely now, but I know I am not alone. I ask you to watch over and guide me, Kimberlie, Nicky and both our families as you did when you were with us. Help us make the right decisions in life so that some day we may join you in death.
Terri, this is the hardest thing I've ever written and no matter how I'm trying to arrange my thoughts, words can not express my love or feeling of loss. I hope you will understand and accept this as my last physical gift to you on this date, the day of our third wedding anniversary.
Please watch over me, and never leave me.

Thank You...
I can not say in the right words, thank you to my friends and relatives who helped me get through this time. Without them I would have been lost.
I would also like to express my deep appreciation to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Ellis Hospital. You are truly warm, caring, wonderful people. My special thanks goes to nurse(he names many), and to the Doctors and all the other people who I didn't get a chance to meet but helped me give Terri another try at life.
Thank you who offered your prayers and sympathy. Knowing that you were all there at a time when Terri and I needed you the most means a lot to me. None of you will ever be forgotten by me or my families.
Lastly, I want to that those who have contributed to the Terri Lynch Cuttita Memorial Scholarship Fund. You can be assured that whoever wins this award will be a very special and deserving individual.
