Ada Belle Powell, 91, widow of Wesley Allen Powell, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Kenwood Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Powell was born in Madison Co. on January 10, 1923, to the late Flemon and Lois Bogie Azbill. She worked for the Madison County School System in the Cafeteria at Kit. Mrs. Powell was a member of the Methodist Faith.
Mrs. Powell is survived by: her two sons, Barry Gibson Powell (Karen), and Larry Flem Powell (Gail); three grandsons, Jason Allen Powell (Tammy), Jarrod Gibson Powell, and Jonathan Corey Powell (Sheri); six great-grandchildren, Dylan Allen Powell, Lucas Russell Powell, Dayne Wesley Powell, Molly Katelin Powell, Maddie Elizabeth Powell, and Samuel Maxton Powell; three step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Abshear, Jordan Abshear, and Megan Abshear.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by: two brothers, James Azbill, and Chester Azbill; three sisters, Irene Whittaker, Pauline Marcum, and Helen Ginter; and one granddaughter-in-law, Bryn Kristen Powell.
