R.G. Etheridge, 73, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mr. Etheridge was born Nov. 3, 1932, to Rupert and Anna Belle Etheridge in Frederick, Okla. He grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. He attended Amarillo College before serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Diamond Shamrock in 1988 after 32 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna, in 1984; and a son, Dennis, in 1977.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Denise Pettigrew and husband Hal of Amarillo; a sister, Jeanne Bitting and husband John of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Elise Burrough of Lubbock and Drew Burrough of Amarillo; and several nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Second Baptist Church, 419 N. Buchanan St., Amarillo, TX 79107 or Odyssey Health Care, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
