He was the Son of Eli and Leona Thomas Beaver. Otis was a Veteran serving his country with US Army, which he was very proud of it.

He married Geneva (Na Na) Bellamy on April 5, 1947 in Columbus, Ks and worked as a general laborer doing many jobs during his lifetime, 14 years were with Missouri Steel Casting.

He loved his grandkids and was especially proud of th his three great-grandchildren who are serving their country, two in the US Marine and one in the US Army.

Otis was precede in death by his parents, three brother, Johnny Beaver and two infant brother; two sisters, Ester Gideon and Pearl Beaver, a granddaughter, Rhonda Beaver; a great-granddaughter, Kastyn Taylor; and a son-in-law, Edward Keplar.

He is survived by wife of 67 years, Geneva Beaver; a son, Clyde Beaver and wife, Carolyn; two daughters, Sharon Stokes and husband Don and Beverly Keplar all of Joplin; two sister, Melissa Herrell and Genevieve Gideon both of Anderson, Mo.; nine grandchildren, 27 great-children; 1 great-great-grandchild; and an honorary grandson, Lee Dudley; Gatry Parks, a special friend and buddy; and many family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with Rev. Josh Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Tracy Cemetery, near Anderson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 5, at the mortuary.
Otis was known to all his family and friends as Odie.
