He was married about 1907 to Willie Mae Dean (1885-1956), and she was the daughter of James Franklin Dean (1856-1940) and his wife Lydia Harrison (Corbitt) Dean (1869-1943).
Leon was 57 years old when he died on December 23, 1941 at home at 3712 Central Avenue, Nashville and was buried the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
